Information About Parrots

Parrots are also knows or called Psittacines. These birds originated in most warm and tropical regions like Australia and South America. The order is divided in three families: the Cacatuidae (Cockatoo's), the Psittacidae (True Parrots) and the Strigopidae (New Zealand Parrots). Parrots have a pan-tropical distribution with several species inhabiting the temperate Southern Hemisphere as well. The greatest diversity of parrots is found in South America and Australia.

Breeding Parrots is rewarding and beautiful experience to gain. This wonderful and intelligent bird requires time and dedication. What I meant to say is they need love and caring just like our children. They need some one to take good care of them; they need play mates and companion just like us, and other particular things that we gave to our child.

Parrot breeding is not just buying two birds and put them in the cage and let the nature take care of it. i think that is no the right and good idea in breeding them. It requires healthy and mature pair for breeding. Productive and healthy pair is one of successful breeding techniques in breeding parrots. One of the best and most important things in breeding them is a good and healthy adult pair of birds to ensure the healthy of the babies.

You must understand and know the physical signs and capabilities of one's birds. The question is how can we know a good and healthy and reproductive bird? Well, that's sounds familiar to me...

There are many things that might to consider in breeding and keeping parrots. We must more careful in choosing a bird in local pet stores. Some times pet stores sell ill and sick birds. How can we know if the birds are in good health or not? Some people are not educated in choosing and finding a good and healthy mature bird. Here are some signs of a healthy and well birds: feathers should bright and shinny just like the sun, beak and claws have no signs of fungal infections, no signs of stress, breathing is normal, vent is clearly clean (no signs of diarrhea), eyes are clearly visible not swollen and parrots are active and alert.

Other sign of ill birds is fluffed birds. Fluffed birds are sitting low in the perch or in the nest boxes, tail is bouncing up and down, respiratory sounds, eyes are swollen and reddish.

Parrots are very intelligent and they can imitate the voice of a human being. Parrots are very intellectual birds, active, playful and a good companion. Many people kept this very intelligent creature as a one of the family or a companion. Like me, I kept birds for entertainments. i really love to watched them play make things possible and others. I spent most of my time watching them, playing with them, and taking care of them.

Breeding parrots is quite hard to do but if you have knowledge and educated the task is very simple. In engaging or if you decided to kept or breed parrots, there are many things you have to buy and provide for them. here are some basic and common needs of a birds: bird cage (depends on the species of the birds you are keeping), food, food supplements like vitamins, veggies, fruits seeds and nuts, food utensils, water, nest boxes (depends on what species you are going to kept), bird toys it also depends on what species and place. place is very important because they spend most of their lives in that place so we have to be care full in picking place to put them. it must be safe, never place the birds in direct sunlight or possible to get them wet.
